Lamb Building and Keating Chambers’ Summer School 2024
The Lamb Building and Keating Chambers’ Summer School is returning this year from 10-13 July 2024. The summer school is open to LLB, GDL and Bar Course students, as well as those who have completed the Bar Course, who have an interest in Commercial, Criminal, or Civil Law.
Lamb Building and Keating Chambers are collaborating to offer this unique opportunity by delivering sessions led by tenants and pupils from both sets. As well as learning what it is like to practice in these areas, other sessions will cover pupillage applications, interview skills, advocacy and life as a pupil.
Summer School Schedule
Wednesday 10th July, 17.30-19.30 – Civil Law & Criminal Law Talk
Barristers from Lamb Building and Keating Chambers provide an overview of their Criminal Law and Civil Law practices, respectively, with an opportunity for questions at the end of the session.
Thursday 11th July, 17.30-19.30 – Pupillage Panel
An interactive session with current and recent pupils from Lamb Building and Keating Chambers in which they share their insights into life as a pupil at their respective sets and answer questions from attendees.
Friday 12th July, 17.30-19.30 – Application & Interview Tips
Barristers from Lamb Building and Keating Chambers share some of their top tips when it comes to pupillage applications and the pupillage interview process.
Saturday 13th July, 9.30-12.00 – Advocacy Talk & Workshop
Barristers from Lamb Building and Keating Chambers lead an advocacy skills talk followed by an interactive workshop where attendees have a unique opportunity to break out into groups for some mock advocacy practice in a friendly and relaxed setting.
The Summer School is not assessed or scored in any way; it is designed to be a relaxed and inclusive environment, with the aim of providing aspiring pupils with as much information, advice, and opportunity as possible to support their journey to pupillage.

- Wednesday 10th July 2024 – Saturday 13th July 2024
- The sessions on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will take from 17.30-19.30, and session on Saturday will be held from 9.30-12.00
- Deadline for applications is 5pm on 3 July 2024
