Will Shrubsall is Joint Director of Clerking at Keating Chambers and along with James Luxmoore leads the clerking team. Will has over 25 years experience and has been with Keating Chambers since 2012. He began his career as a Junior Barristers’ Clerk in 1997 at 11 Stone Buildings, before joining Wilberforce Chambers in 2004. Will was promoted to Joint Director of Clerking in March 2023 and along with James has overall responsibility for the management and development of all aspects of the barristers’ practices including client liaison, fee negotiation, diary management and the allocation of work. Clients describe Will as “particular great to work with, very attentive and responsive and can always find the right barristers” (Chambers & Partners 2023) Will also plays an active role in all aspects of Chambers’ marketing and business development both domestically and internationally and sits on various Chambers committees. Will heads the team responsible for the Junior Silks and senior Junior barristers in chambers and is assisted by Robert Garvan, Jacob Watson and Maria Ahmed. The Legal 500 2020 has praised Will as part of a team which “is probably among the top echelon of the clerks’ rooms of any set in London” and said he “can be relied upon to recommend counsel for any particular case”. Outside of Chambers, when he is not acting as a taxi driver for his three children his interests include rugby, cricket and golf.
