Deputy Senior Clerk

Date: 3 April 2017

Keating Chambers are pleased to announce the promotion of Rob Cowup to a Deputy Senior Clerk with effect from Monday 3 April. Rob started his career at Keating in 2003, and clients comment that he “provides a standout, commercially astute service“. CEO/Senior Clerk, Declan Redmond, said of the appointment “Rob is a well respected member of the clerking team who is trusted by members, staff and clients alike. He plays an active role in all aspects of Chambers marketing both domestically and internationally and I look forward to working with him in this new role.”

Separately we have decided it is time to restructure the clerking teams to enable them to have a wider exposure to our clients. Rob Cowup and James Luxmoore are now taking responsibility for the management of the practice of the senior silks team; Ted Paterson and Anthony Carroll will now manage the junior silks and senior juniors team; and Will Shrubsall continues to lead the juniors team, supported by Jessica Edson, who has recently been promoted to Practice Manager.

Head of Chambers, Marcus Taverner QC said “Congratulations to Rob and Jess on their new roles which are greatly deserved. Members of Keating appreciate the hard work and dedication of all our members of staff and we are confident that these promotions will enhance the first-class service that we already provide to our clients.”
