18 January 2024
The Chancery Bar Association, COMBAR and TECBAR, are jointly hosting a virtual pupillage panel and CV workshop on the evening of 18 January 2024 for those interested in pupillage at the Commercial and Chancery Bar.
The session starts with a panel discussion which will provide some general guidance related to the pupillage application process. Lucy Garrett KC is delighted to join Zulfikar Khayum and Sheriar Khan (Atkin Chambers), Michael Walsh (Serle Court Chambers) and Neil Dowers (4 Pump Court) for this discussion.
There will then be a CV workshop undertaken on an individual basis with at least twenty commercial/chancery KCs and junior barristers, all of whom have relevant experience in a wide range of commercial and chancery practice; many of whom act as pupil supervisors or mentors to aspiring pupils. Barristers from a wide range of sets including Atkin Chambers, Brick Court Chambers, Keating Chambers, Littleton Chambers, No.5 Chambers, One Essex Court, Quadrant Chambers, Selborne Chambers, Serle Court Chambers, 2 Temple Gardens, 3VB, 4 Pump Court, 4 New Square, 7 KBW and 39 Essex Chambers will be taking part. This is an invaluable opportunity to hear from those experienced in reviewing pupillage applications and to receive a one-on-one CV review from a specialising in commercial/chancery practice.
All are welcome and you are not required to be a member of any of the organising associations. Participation in the CV workshop is limited to 45 places. Those wishing to participate should sign-up on the following registration page: 18th January Pupillage and CV Workshop. CVs and any request to be paired with a barrister with a particular sub-specialism should be sent to admin@combar.com by 11 January 2024.
