Lars specialises in Keating’s core practice areas of construction & engineering, infrastructure, energy, international arbitration, and technology. He provides advice, drafting and representation at all stages of litigation and other dispute resolution processes. He joined Keating as a tenant in 2023 following completion of his pupillage.
Lars has recently been instructed:
As sole counsel in the High Court (TCC) to resist an application for specific disclosure by a main contractor.
As sole counsel in the TCC to seek enforcement of an adjudicator’s decision.
As part of the counsel team led by Simon Hughes KC in a £400m ICC arbitration concerning waste management infrastructure in Qatar.
As sole counsel to defend a claim against a main contractor in the High Court (TCC) concerning a new-build house warranty.
To advise an architectural practice in relation to novel duties owed by principal designers under the Building Regulations.
Lars was the winner of the Society for Construction Law’s 2022 SCL Hudson Prize, for his paper on recent developments in the law relating to building safety and the Defective Premises Act of 1972.
Before joining Keating, Lars worked as in-house counsel at a market-leading fintech startup based in London.
Appeared as sole counsel for a main contractor to resist an application for specific disclosure in the High Court (Birmingham TCC).
Instructed to appear at trial for the claimant telecoms provider in a breach of contract dispute in the Birmingham County Court.

Instructed as junior counsel to Simon Hughes KC in a £400m ICC arbitration concerning waste management infrastructure in Qatar.

Instructed as part of the counsel team led by Piers Stansfield KC in a multi-million-pound adjudication arising from a PFI contract in the healthcare sector.
Appeared as sole counsel for a sub-contractor in the County Court at Central London (TCC), successfully seeking enforcement of an adjudicator’s decision.
Acted as sole counsel for the main contractor in an adjudication concerning the delivery and installation of mechanical plant at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
Acted for the respondent homeowners in smash and grab and true value adjudications in relation to a final account dispute arising under a JCT Minor Works Building Contract.
