Connie Trendle

Pupil

Connie was called to the bar in 2024. She completed the bar course in the same year as a Lord Denning residential scholar. For her performance on the Bar Course, she was awarded the Buchanan prize from Lincoln’s Inn.

Connie studied Jurisprudence at the University of Oxford. In her final year of undergraduate study, she achieved both a first-class degree and an offer of pupillage at Keating Chambers.

During her time at University, Connie won several academic prizes. For her performance in Final Honour School examinations, she was awarded the Quadrant Prize for the best result in the International Trade module. In 2022, she placed first in the Oxford University Undergraduate Law Journal 7 Kings Bench Walk Essay Competition. Her winning article was subsequently published on the OUULJ blog.

In 2023, Connie participated in the School Exclusion Project. Connie represented a student who had been permanently excluded in front of an Independent Review Panel. Connie successfully argued against the school’s Governing Body that the exclusion was unlawful by virtue of procedural impropriety and failure to have regard to relevant considerations.

Outside of work, Connie enjoys playing and supporting Netball. She is also a keen cook and is always on the lookout for new recipes to try.
