Nature of case: In a dispute arising out of a dredging contract, the applicant contractor failed to obtain summary judgment enforcing an adjudication award. It was held that the adjudicator was possibly out of jurisdiction because there had been two disputes referred, and that the adjudication might have been compromised by negotiations between the parties. These doubts meant that summary judgment would not be appropriate here.
