The Government has published an independent review into legal challenges against Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs), conducted by Lord Banner KC with the assistance of Nick Grant (Landmark Chambers). The report makes a case for changes to the judicial review process to reduce delays to NSIPs whilst maintaining access to justice and ensuring that the UK upholds its international obligations. An open call for evidence has also been published to inform the Government’s next steps.
