We would like to congratulate Lord Banner KC for being shortlisted for ‘Barrister of the Year’ for The Lawyer Awards 2025.
This nomination reflects the impact of Charles’ work and accomplishments throughout 2024. Notable highlights include leading the Independent Review of Legal Challenges to Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, the recommendations of which are now being taken forward in proposed legislation, being ranked in the Top 2 planning silks in Great Britain by Planning Magazine’s annual Planning Legal Survey and being featured as The Times’ Lawyer of the Week. The year also marked Charles’ involvement in several high-profile cases (including CG Fry in the Supreme Court and Mead in the Court of Appeal) and his appointment to the House of Lords as a working peer.
The category winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on 17 June, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
