Silk Appointment: Tom Owen

We are delighted to announce that Tom Owen has been successful in his application for Silk. At 34 years of age, Tom is the youngest ever Silk to be appointed in modern times. It is an exceptional achievement.

Tom commands a formidable practice leading heavy and complex construction, energy, engineering, and professional negligence disputes in the High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, and in international arbitration.

King’s Counsel appointments are made by His Majesty The King on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP, after consideration by the independent King’s Counsel Selection Panel.  They are for excellence in advocacy in cases of substance in the higher courts.
